A pale greeny-yellow liquid (turning brown with age, with a light, fresh, citrus scent. It blends well with lavendar, neroli, ylang ylang, rose, sandalwood, olibanum, chamomile, benzoin, fennel, geranium, eucalyptus, juniper, oakmoss, lavandin, elemi, labdanum and other citrus oils.
A small evergreen tree up to 6m (20 ft) high with serrated oval leaves, stiff thorns and very fragrant flowers. The fruit turns from green to yellow on ripening.
Lemon juice is mixed with water and the resultant mixture is used to wash amulets, jewelry and other magical objects which have been obtained second-hand. This wash ensures that all negative vibrations are cleansed from the object in question. The juice is also added to bath water at the time of the full Moon for its purificatory powers.
